Welcome to Wayne County, Michigan

In April 2008, Governor Jennifer Ganholm put into legislation some of the richest tax incentives in the country for the Film Industry. Shortly thereafter, Wayne County Executive Robert A. Ficano launched The Wayne County Film Initiative to assist and attract incoming production companies to the region.

The hope is to leverage resources and highlight all that we, the largest County in the State, have to offer the film industry. Wayne County is a “one-stop shop” for any and all filming and production needs.

The goal of the Film Initiative is to diversify our economy, promote growth, and create jobs in this region. Whether you are a producer, filmmaker, business, or community member interested in getting involved in the Film Industry, we have something for you.
